Hi Friends,

Reiki is a laying-on of healing hands technique thousands of years old. It is thought to have originated as an ancient Oriental healing practice that was rediscovered at the end of the 19th Century by Dr. Mikao Usui who was then researching for the healing methods of the great teachers.

  • Reiki is a natural healing system, an art that anyone can learn. The beauty of Reiki lies in its simplicity, in its accessibility to everyone.

  • 'Rei' is the universal consciousness, and 'Ki' is the life force energy that flows through us via the chakras and meridians. When our life force energy is high and flowing freely, we are strong, confident, healthy, happy and capable of facing challenges. If our life force energy is low, there is diminished body and mind functioning, and consequently we become vulnerable to illnesses, depression and stress.

  • Reiki works on all bodily levels - the physical body, the mental body and the body of our spirit. Reiki is safe and natural; it is a vibrational energy technique that balances, harmonises and restores our energy systems by using non-polarised energy, which accelerates the body's natural ability to heal physical ailments and disease. Reiki is not guided by the mind, and is therefore independent of the limits or experience of any particular Reiki practitioner. Because there is no need to guide Reiki, as there is in other healing energies, Reiki energy begins to flow without the necessity for entering an altered state (such as deep meditation).

  • Reiki belongs to all who seek and desire to learn the art of healing. This vital energy from the universal energy field is channelled into the human energy field through the energy centres in the palms of the hands of the Reiki practitioner, where it is transmuted into a form that is usable at the cellular level. It is never sent to, but drawn by the receipient at just the right amount he/she needs, empowering his/her own innate healing resources. The Reiki practitioner does not direct the healing or decide what to work on, and therefore there is no danger of his/her taking on the receipient's karma. In addition, the practitioner's energies are never depleted, because Reiki knows that both the practitioner and the receipient require healing, so both receive treatment simultaneously. Giving a treatment, therefore, increases energy, love and well-being for both the practitioner and the receipient.

  • Reiki is non-denominational, holding no creed, doctrine or contradiction to the Universal Laws of Consciousness and Love; it complements all religions and philosophies, serving only to heal. Reiki requires no particular belief system; it works whether with or without beliefs after the student is aligned with the energy. Reiki is with them for life. What is necessary to Reiki is that the practitioner lives in harmony with the world.

  • Reiki is very versatile, simple yet powerful tool, which can be applied for healing oneself, family and friends, animals, plants and situations (e.g. to calm oneself before a job interview, etc.). In the caring and nursing professions, Reiki's uses are boundless.

 §

It restores and maintains balance, health and harmony at all levels.

§   It eases stress, creating a calmer and more relaxed attitude to life.
§   It helps to clear out the 'mental dustbin' of past upsets and distress.
§   It helps with problem solving.
§   It boosts the immune system to defend against bacteria and viruses; it relieves all physical ailments.
§   It stimulates production of endorphins, thus decreasing perception of pain.
§   It provides comfort and ease during grief.
§   It brings calm to the hyperactive child, and peace to the terminally ill.
§   It promotes self-awareness and personal growth.
§   It brings mental clarity and focus.
§   Reiki can also be used for distant or absent healing.

  • Reiki goes to the cause and effect - when the cause is removed, there will be no effect.

  • Reiki is taught by a Reiki Master. The Reiki first level gives the student their basic instruction, enabling them to explore working with Reiki. The Reiki second level workshop supplies the student with the sacred Reiki symbols, and increases their scope to work on a much broader scale. If the student wishes to go on to teach Reiki, a Masters course is available for you to explore the different realm of energy work.

The ability to learn Reiki is not dependant on intellectual capacity, nor does one have to be able to mediate. It does not take years of practice. It is simply passed on from teacher to student during the attunement process. As soon as this happens, one has and can do Reiki. Thus it is easily learned by anyone.

Reiki is a pure form of healing and not dependent on individual talent or acquired ability. Because of this, the personality of the healer is less likely to cloud the significance of the experience. The feeling of being connected to the Universe's healing love and protection is clearly apparent.

I would like to invite you to "Walk this Mystical Path with Practical Feet !!!"

LOve n Liight,

Yen Kim
